Sorry!

So I know I've been M.I.A. for a while, but I have a reason! School started for me, and I've just been sooooooo busy! Also, if you're from my YouTube, you'll know that I haven't put a video up on there in a while either. That's actually because my computer has been malfunctioning, and it won't let me export any videos from iMovie! I have them edited and I just need to get it fixed so I can upload. Sorry about that, but I just wanted to let you guys know and I'll talk to you soon. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter!

Quick Ulta and Walmart Haul- August 27, 2011

I went to Walmart yesterday and picked up two things, and picked up one thing at Ulta last week, so I just wanted to do a quick haul to share these awesome products with you, because I didn't think there were enough products to do a video! Thanks for reading and lets get started . . .

The first thing I picked up was the Burts Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil. I've had this before and I love it. It's a very smooth chapstick that gives a nice gloss, and a very slight tint to the lips.

The tint it gives your lips is a light raspberry color, similar to the color of the cap. In the swatch below, you can barely see the color, but you can see the shine it gives.

I like this better than some other tinted chapsticks because I can apply as much as I want and it won't make my lips super bright. This costs about $2.00, depending on where you get it.

The next thing I got from Walmart was the Hard Candy Fox in a Box blush in the color Smooth Talker. This is supposed to be a dupe for Benefit's Sugarbomb.

The packaging of this is super cute and this is only $6! There are 4 colors, and you could use them separately, but I like to blend it all together.

So far I really like this product, although it is pretty shimmery. It doesn't look like that in it's packaging, but as you can see by the swatches, it's actually quite frosty. I have really oily skin, so I was debating if I should return it, but I think I'm going to keep it.

Above, you can see how the product looks blended all together. I really like this product, and the coral-y color it gives my cheeks. I really want to try all the other Fox in a Boxes! (Fox in a Boxes? Is that the right way to say that?)

I went to Ulta last week, because I have my coupon for buying so much during the last quarter of the year. (I forget what the name of the coupon is!)

I was Level 2, and when I saw that I could get the Maybelline One by One mascara for FREE, I was so excited! I jumped on the chance because I've been wanting to try this forever!

Above, you can see what the brush looks like. It has plastic bristles and I actually really like the wand. This marcara isn't clumpy at all, and so far I've been loving it.

Here's what the mascara looks like on my eyes. I believe it retails for about $7.00, and mine is in the shade Blackest Black.

So thank you so much for reading my blog and be sure to check out my YouTube and my Twitter.

Top 5 Favorite M.A.C. Products

So, I thought for my first post, I would do a post about favorite products, because I can't really think of anything else to do! Before I start, I just want to say, I'm not an expert on M.A.C. and I don't have a super ton of products. These are just my favorites that I have tried, and I hope you like it! :)

*This is in no particular order*

1. Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (NW15)
 $26.50

I absolutely love this powder foundation! I have oily, acne prone skin and in the fall and winter I wear this with primer and concealer. I also love to set liquid foundation (CoverGirl NatureLuxe) with this, and it gives a FLAWLESS finish. There aren't many bad things to say about this, but if you use too much it can sometimes   look powder-y.

2. Mac Bare Study Paint Pot
 $17.50

This product is basically a cream eyeshadow. One thing I love about it is that it doesn't crease. I use it as a base and primer under my eyeshadows, or on its own almost everyday. It's a beautiful light champagne-y shimmery color, and I adore it!

3. Mac All That Glitters Eyeshadow
 $15.00

This is a beautiful eyeshadow. It is a shimmery, pink-y bronze color. This color looks great on the lids, or in the crease, or even as a brow bone highlight on darker skin tones. This color is beautiful, and it's no wonder it's a best-seller!

4. Mac Modelette Eyeshadow
$15.00

This is another one of my favorite Mac eyeshadows. It's limited edition, so sorry that you can't get it anymore. I wasn't going to include it, but it's just so beautiful!!! It's a satin finish, but it's basically matte on the eye. The color is similar to Naked from Urban Decay. I love this on the lid, for a really pretty matte look, or in the crease with Bare Study Paint Pot or any shimmery champagne color on the lid.

5. Mac Lustreglass in Wonderstruck
$14.50

This is a beautiful rose-y pink colored lip gloss with a gold-ish pink shimmer. It is really pretty on the lips and I love the brush applicator, but I do have some problems with it. First of all, all the labeling in my tube of this wore off in LESS THAN A DAY. That includes the 2 labels on the sides that say "M.A.C. Lusterglass" and the label on the bottom that says "Wonderstruck." I don't know if mine was just bad, but that was really annoying especially when it's so expensive. The other problem I have with his is that it can feel very glittery and sticky on the lips. I don't mind it enough that I don't wear it, but I know that really bothers a lot of people. I do still include this as one of my favorites, though, because it's beautiful and I wear it a lot.
